Note from Lynn:

We celebrated the election last night and hope that the election of Barack Obama will make it easier for us in Syria where there have been some concerns lately about U.S. military actions.

We are all packed and ready to depart from Seattle tomorrow. Each of us has our anxieties and I'm certain that all of those will fade away while we sit on the long flights from here to Amman. The biggest problem we've had so far is cramming everything we think we need into the "one soft-sided bag, no exceptions" that Wilderness Travel is allowing us. Why then did they send two luggage tags each? More later......

I just want to know if the sand dunes have those same lovely dung beetles that pop out of the ground that Rajasthan does?

Hallo, Lynn, Richard and girls,
Just been catching up on your travels. Sounds very exciting and certainly warmer and drier than here in Brighton. Will try and check you out each day and live it through your eyes. Keep safe.
Love
